CONTEMPORARY MUSIC

Anna performs improvised, experimental music with performance group ‘Free Women’ and the ‘Free Range Orchestra’. Listen to the Free Range Orchestra’s first live album recording ‘Connections’ recorded live at a concert with Evan Parker on Spotify. Their most recent performance was with improvisation legend Maggie Nicols for the Free Range 10th anniversary performance at the Colyer Fergusson Hall, Canterbury.

Anna recently sang in the premieres of Nicola Burnett Smith’s ‘Stabat Mater’ at the Actors Church, Covent Garden and Rebecca Askew’s ‘Fag Break’ at Profound Sound 2020. She has recorded (‘I Would Rather Walk With You’ 2021) and performed live (Beacons 2021) in sound art works for award winning composer Emily Peasgood. You will often see Anna performing in her own works and those of the Montrose Composers’ Club.

CABARET

Anna’s singing career began in 2000 at Opera Holland Park and then she moved to Carl Rosa Opera touring the UK in The Merry Widow, Die Fledermaus, The Gondoliers, The Yeomen of the Guard, Iolanthe, The Mikado and The Pirates of Penzance. Meanwhile with Tanya Holt, she co-founded infamous cabaret duo ShooShooBaby, with whom she has devised & performed cabaret shows which have won acclaim at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, on theatre tours of the UK and cabaret venues all over Europe.
